Meet Mrs. Dutcher
Welcome to the Teal Team! I am so excited to welcome all of you to my classroom! This is my 19th year of teaching. I taught 4th grade for 13 years, and this is my 6th year teaching 5th grade ELA at WIS. I graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and from Drury University in 2014 with a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction. I am the mom of one spunky third grader who attends Willard North. When I’m not at school, I enjoy running, kayaking, practicing yoga, and reading. I LOVE all things coconut; as it reminds me of summer!
Meet Mrs. Blackburn
I am so excited to start my sixth year by teaching Math and Science at WIS. I taught 4th grade for 4 years at Willard Orchard Hills Elementary and 5th grade Science/Social Studies for one year. I graduated from Missouri State University in December 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education. Previous to starting my career in education I stayed home with my boys and was in retail management and retail purchasing.
My family consists of my husband, myself, and two sons. My oldest son will be in 11th grade at Willard High School and my youngest will be in 8th grade at Willard Middle School. We also have two cats named Sphynx and Ebe, they are very entertaining. We have enjoyed a lot of swimming, reading, kayaking, and relaxing over the summer. We also found time to visit the Cosmosphere in Kansas and the Grand Canyon.
